Quarterly Stock Pitch Competition
The Quarterly Stock Pitch Competition (SPC) is a cornerstone event that provides members with an opportunity to showcase their growth and learning throughout their time at SIG. Held quarterly, teams analyze companies and present stock pitches to industry professionals. Judges evaluate pitches across Equity Research, Quantitative Analysis, and Sustainability dimensions, providing valuable feedback to help members refine their analytical and presentation skills.
Quantathon
A quarterly event where Quantitative Analysis committee members present their work and receive feedback from industry specialists. The Quantathon showcases advanced statistical models, programming projects, and quantitative research that drives SIG's investment decisions. Analysts present their findings on portfolio construction, risk management, and ESG integration, receiving expert guidance to further refine their quantitative methods.

A quarterly research exhibition by the Sustainability Committee, focusing on ESG scoring methodologies and sustainability characteristics of industries. Data Fest
SIG was the first UCSD organization to send members to the annual UCLA Datafest in Los Angeles. This prestigious event brings together teams from universities across the region to compete in data analysis challenges. SIG members participate in this intensive competition, applying their quantitative skills to real-world datasets and collaborating with peers from other institutions, further strengthening our commitment to data-driven investment analysis.
